Abstract
The successful cultivation of Eaton agent, FH strain, on a horse serum agar, its properties in connection with the agar, and its isolation and subsequent identification are described. A fluorescent antibody technique was employed in the identification. Acute and convalescent phase sera from patients with pneumonia were always tested simultaneously with pneumonia infected chick embryo lung sections and with agar colonies. Keywords
