Abstract
ELEVATED PLASMA total homocysteine (tHcy) concentration has been associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD) and has, during the past few years, gained acceptance as an independent and graded risk factor for arterial as well as venous occlusive disease.1-3 While many prospective and retrospective studies, including a total of more than 20 000 subjects, have shown such associations,1-4 other studies have not.4-9Keywords
