Abstract
Wide variation in cardiovascular disease age-adjusted mortality rates (AAMRs) has been noted among counties in the US.1 Rural residents experience higher death rates compared with residents of urban areas, particularly from potentially preventable causes.2 We examined temporal trends in cardiovascular disease AAMRs overall and across subgroups stratified by rural-urban area designation in the US.Keywords
