Abstract
Quiz Ref ID Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in the United State despite declines in the national cardiovascular disease mortality rate between 1980 and 2015.1 Mortality rates for smaller regions of the country such as counties can differ substantially from the national average.2 County-level differences in mortality rates have important implications for local and national health policy.3
