Abstract
The and excitations and their decay in Xe have been studied by using total ion yield and angle-resolved electron spectroscopies. The natural linewidths of the states were determined. Anisotropy parameters of resonant Auger transitions to final states were extracted from the experiment. They were found to be connected with the anisotropy parameters of the corresponding normal Auger transitions as predicted by the gross spectator model.
