Abstract
Two points are raised concerning the recently published Letter on the collisionless space-charge sheath and the subsequent discussion: an appropriate identification of the contribution of the sheath to the total ionization rate resolves the paradox of ionization in the sheath being infinitely larger than in the adjacent plasma; the concept of a sheath of the order of Debye length with the electron density much smaller than the ion density is contradictory. Keywords
