Abstract
Micro carbonaceous spheres have been successfully synthesized from watermelon via a one-pot hydrothermal reaction. After a quick annealing process to remove the surface oxygen groups, the as-prepared spheres presented an excellent microwave absorption performance at the Ku band (12–18 GHz), with a loading ratio of 25 wt% in a paraffin-based composite at 2.0 mm thickness. Keywords
