Abstract
A compact, uniplanar, dual-polarized, circular slot antenna for ultra-wideband diversity applications is presented. The proposed design consists of two identical, orthogonal coplanar waveguide fed U-shaped elements, and an annulus. A cross shaped strip is also incorporated to achieve high isolation between the ports. Measurement results demonstrate that, the antenna provides a 2:1 VSWR bandwidth from 2.6 GHz to 11 GHz. The measurement results disclose good performance in terms of radiation characteristics and isolation which makes the proposed antenna a good candidate for UWB dual polarized MIMO applications. Keywords
