ANALYSIS AND VALIDATION OF THE DYNAMIC METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING DIESEL ENGINE CONNECTING ROD BEARINGS

Abstract
The paper considers the problems related with diagnosing diesel engine crank gears, and presents most widely used methods for their diagnosis. The authors provide arguments in favour of dynamic health status identification of connecting-rod bearings in terms of the oil layer thickness. For the first time the dependence is obtained of the oil layer thickness in conrod bearings from the rotation frequency of the crankshaft and the pressure in the lubrication system.
