Abstract
A detailed cellular existing coverage analysis was performed for the Informatics and Electronics Centre Building (CIE) at ITESM Campus Queretaro, using novel propagation modelling tools such as Measurement-based prediction (MbP) to predict signal strength levels across the five-storey building. An extensive set of radio measurements was performed in the 1900 MHz band to construct received signal strength prediction maps, which were used as inputs for MbP. This analysis gives insight into the propagation mechanisms involved, as well as reveals specific coverage holes as a result of deficient macrocell penetration. This paper also highlights the future steps suggested to address the above mentioned issues from a design perspectiveKeywords
