Abstract
In this paper, a new method of identification of the induction motor equivalent circuit parameters is introduced and discussed. The proposed method uses single-phase test results as a base test for calculating the equivalent circuit parameters of the induction motor. The single-phase test is performed using a variable frequency power supply (inverter). The test was conducted at various frequencies while the voltage, current and power factor were measured. Thereafter, the motor parameters are calculated. The precision of calculation of the motor parameters is sensitive to the accuracy of measurements which can be improved by the use of high performance microprocessors. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
