Abstract
Compared to mechanical solution, solid-state circuit breaker (SSCB) offers enormous advantages in terms of switching speed and maintenance. With fast switching performance, high current turn-off capability, self-power and built-in sensor functions, SPETO is a very promising high power switching device for the application of SSCB in power distribution system. The experimental results show that the SPETO based SSCB can turn off current quickly and works well with self-power function, and therefore is suitable for SSCB in power distribution system. Keywords
