Coherent and incoherent imaging in the scanning transmission electron microscope

Abstract
The image deblurring method given by Stroke and Halioua (1972a) for incoherent image forming conditions is shown to be valid for high-resolution images obtained in the scanning transmission electron microscope using a large annular electron detector. Coherent imaging is obtained only in the case of a small detector.
