THE STUDYING OF THE PROSTATEPROTECTIVE AND SPERMMODULATING EFFECTS OF THE NANOPARTICLES BASED ON RARE-EARTH ELEMENTS OXIDES

Abstract
The chronic prostatitis has been modeled in mature rat males using cryoablation technique of prostate gland front surface (isthmus and ventral lobe). The efficacy of the experimental correction by nanoparticles (NP) LaVO4:Eu3+ hydro gel or by NP LaVO4:Eu3+ with NP Ag hydro gel comparing with Prostatilen® or group of shame operated rats has been studied. In rats with cryo-induced chronic prostatitis, a general inflammatory reaction developed (increase in leukocytosis by 29.2%, p < 0.05), the concentration of epididymal sperm cells decreased by 31.2% (p < 0.05), and their motility was 24.7% (p < 0.05). At the same time, the concentration of metabolites of the nitrogen cycle increased by 66% (p < 0.05). In these animals, there was no change in the mass of the prostate and accessory glands. The rectal using of the NP LaVO4:Eu3+ gel has not reduced the intensity of inflammation (according to the dynamics of the leukocyte reaction), however, it has normalized the content of stable metabolites of the nitric oxide cycle in the blood and sperm motility, without affecting the concentration of germ cells, the mass of the prostate and reproductive organs. The rectal administration of a complex gel with LaVO4:Eu3+ nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles to male rats with cryoinduced prostatitis, on the contrary, the intensity of the inflammatory reaction decreases (the leukocyte concentration decreases by 18%), the quality of the spermogram is better, the performance of which was not inferior to the data of the rats treated with the prostatoprotector Prostatilen ® or the shame operated rats. Moreover, the normalization of body mass during the experiment, an increase in the absolute and relative mass of epididymis have been observed.
