Abstract
The nitrogenase system of Spirillum lipoferum was separated into three components, the normal Mo-Fe and Fe proteins as well as an activating factor for the Fe protein. The rate of activation is increased by Mn2+ or by an excess of Mg2+, and the process requires ATP.Keywords
