Abstract
By retaining the magnetic moment mu to higher order in the gyroradius over scale length expansion and employing a gyrokinetic change of variables a full finite beta derivation of the gyrokinetic equation is presented within the eikonal ansatz for arbitrary magnetic fields and mu dependent unperturbed distribution functions.Keywords
