Abstract
Performance limitations in decentralized control systems are considered. It is shown that arbitrary bandwidth can be obtained with a block diagonal controller, if certain subsystems of the open-loop system have no zeros in the right half-plane. Implications for control structure design and sequential loop-closure are discussed. Keywords
