THE BODY/VENOUS HEMATOCRIT RATIO: ITS CONSTANCY OVER A WIDE HEMATOCRIT RANGE

Abstract
In 28 measurements of red cell volume (p32) and plasma volume (T-1824) made in subjects whose venous hematocrit varied from 9 to 82%, the ratio of body hematocrit to venous hematocrit was constant; the value of the ratio was 0.91 (standard deviation, 0.026).
