Abstract
The application of a pelvic clamp for provisional stability of unstable pelvic fractures has been advocated in the orthopaedic literature. Although the technique has gained some supporters, problems with placement and associated complications have prevented widespread acceptance. We have modified the pelvic clamp (ACE Pelvic Stabilizer®) technique by applying the clamp to the trochanteric region of the femur and applying a reduction force similar to a pelvic binder or external fixator. Keywords
