Abstract
It is well known that F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) is taken up by different tumors and active inflammation. Focal uptake of FDG may cause false-positive results in certain benign conditions. However, the incidental finding of FDG-positron emission tomographic (PET) uptake in dental caries has not been reported. In the current report, a 48-year-old man was hospitalized for an FDGPET tumor survey with incidental findings of uptake in dental caries. Keywords
