Abstract
The UK Met Office's flexible configuration management (FCM) system uses existing open source tools, adapted for use with high-performance scientific Fortran code, to help manage evolving code in its large-scale climate simulation and weather forecasting models. FCM has simplified the development process, improved team coordination, and reduced release cycles. Keywords
