A SIMPLE LABORATORY APPARATUS TO MEASURE RELATIVE ERODIBILITYOF SOILS

Abstract
A simple laboratory apparatus designed for rapid and inexpensive measurement of the relative erodibility of soils is described. Erosion coefficients obtained with this apparatus are correlated with other erosion indices, viz., erosion ratio, clay ratio, and silica:sesquioxide ratio, and found to be in good agreement. This apparatus can be used where routine analysis is required of a large number of soil samples for their relative erodibility by water. © Williams & Wilkins 1978. All Rights Reserved.
