Abstract
Conjugate acids of cyclic (amino)(phosphino)carbenes (P-NHCs) have been prepared, and several different processes have been observed during their deprotonation, which include the formation of a metastable P-NHC, an azomethine ylide, and a bicyclic phosphirane. Keywords
