Modeling, research and optimization of heat losses during transport in energy systems

Abstract
The most vulnerable link in the district heating system are heating networks. Unsatisfactory state of heat networks leads both to high losses during transportation carrier and to their frequent damages. Assessment of the physical condition of thermal networks performed by various experts has shown that 40-50 % of heat pipes are life-expired. Therefore, the majority of accidents in heating systems is connected with their damage. A high degree of physical and moral deterioration of sources of thermal energy (up to 50-70 %) also reduces efficiency of heat supply significantly. The paper considers a range of issues related to mathematical modeling, investigation and optimization of thermal losses during transportation within the energy systems and developing an appropriate program-informational complex.
