Abstract
A new eremophylane-type sesquiterpene, the known compounds salvicanol, pisiferanol, 8(14),15-isopimaradien-7α-ol, β-sitosterol and natural 5α,6-dihydro-salviasperanol have been isolated from the root extract of Salvia mellifera. The structure of the new sesquiterpene was identified by rigorous spectroscopic analyses. Keywords
