Abstract
Dysfunction of one or both hemidiaphragms is an underdiagnosed cause of dyspnea. Weakness or paralysis may be seen during mechanical ventilation, after surgery or trauma, with metabolic or inflammatory disorders, and with myopathy, neuropathy, or diseases causing lung hyperinflation.Keywords
