Abstract
The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of cooperative learning. This discussion includes a description of the essential components of cooperative learning activities and a review of the research regarding its effectiveness. The research review investigates the effect of cooperative learning on academic achievement, peer relationships, and social development. Notable cooperative learning programs are described.Keywords
