Abstract
In selected patients, particularly males, redundancy of skin of the neck can be treated effectively by direct excision and a single large Z-plasty closure so that the horizontal portion corresponds to the neck crease. Reduction of the thyroid cartilage can be performed simultaneously. The relative advantages and disadvantages between this approach and the more commonly performed facelift are discussed. Keywords
