Abstract
For a wide class of electron sources of coherent electromagnetic radiation, we propose a “multi-stage” regime of the electron-wave interaction. The use of this regime in devices with a weak electron-wave interaction has several benefits, namely, a significant increase in the efficiency is achievable, and electron beams with a great velocity spread can be accommodated.Funding Information
