Abstract
A classification of gastrointestinal motility disorders is offered based upon the type of disorder in transit (delay or acceleration), and the region of the gastrointestinal tract affected. Specific abnormalities of myoelectrical patterns are identified when possible and related to disturbances in transit in the stomach and small bowel.Keywords
