Abstract
Sialadenosis, characterized by a uniform hypertrophy and hyperplasia of the acinar parenchyma of salivary glands, is associated with a variety of systemic diseases or functional disorders. Present evidence relates the clinical and morphologic changes in the salivary tissues to a neuropathic alteration of the autonomic innervation of the salivary acini. Keywords
