Abstract
«Political planning. What the "NIMBY syndrom* tells us about general interest». Arthur Jobert [67-92] Facilities sitting arouses many controversies. Public interest, as defined by planners, is faced with local oppositions arguing from other points of view. These oppositions can't be discredited as local selfishness (NIMBY syndrom). On the contrary, these resistances mean that the boundaries between private and public interests are shifting. Thus, a new planning model, more conscious of the territoriality of issues, seems to be put on the agenda.
