Abstract
It has recently been shown by Marchildon, Antippa, and Everett that it is not possible to maintain the principle of relativity in constructing a superluminal generalization of the Lorentz transformations without obtaining obvious conflicts with experiment. Our aim here is to show that this, at first sight, disturbing result is, rather, what we should have expected from the known properties of space-time. To this end, we present a superluminal formulation which differs in some respects from the theories of previous authors. Keywords
