Self-assembled supramolecular rigid rods

Abstract

The self-assembly of the complementary components AP₂ and AU₂, through hydrogen bonding via uracil and 2,6-diacylaminopyridine groups, yields polymeric supramolecular rigid rods (AP₂, AU₂)_n that present a lyotropic mesophase.
