This chapter examines the growth rates and longevity of Allen Cays rock iguanas in the Exuma Islands, Bahamas. Long-term recapture data suggests that some iguanas live well beyond twenty-one years. Some iguanas appeared to have exhibited negative growth rates such as body shrinkage, which may be possible due to cold winters in the study sites. Other data suggest that food may be limiting growth rates in iguanas on densely populated islands. The chapter also analyzes the effect of tail breaks and tourist feeding on the growth rate of iguanas.
