Abstract
This study examines depictions of Taiwan in a variety of discourses about tourism. Taiwan's depictions tend to one side or the other of the traditional‐modern continuum and are undergirded by assumptions of political power, particularly that of claiming the right to represent the cultural Other.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
