Cryotherapy for Renal Cell Carcinoma and Angiomyolipoma

Abstract
We determined the feasibility of renal cryotherapy in humans. Two patients with tumors in a solitary kidney were treated with renal cryotherapy. Both patients tolerated renal cryotherapy well with no change in renal function and no postoperative complications. Cryoablation of select renal lesions can be performed safely with minimal loss of renal function.
