Abstract
Buyukcapar, H.M., Mezdegi, M.I. and Kamalak, A. 2010. Nutritive value of narbon bean (Vicia narbonensis) seed as ingredient in practical diet for Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fingerlings. J. Appl. Anim. Res., 37: 253–256. To determine the nutritive value of Narbon bean (Vicia narbonensis) seed (VNS) in practical diets of Oreochromis niloticus fingerlings at five levels (0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 g VNS/kg) treatments had three replicates, ten fish per replicate. Inclusion of VNS above 200 g/kg showed significantly reduced feed intake, growth performance and lower lipid content. It is concluded that narbon bean could be included up to 200 g/kg only into diet of tilapia. Keywords
