Management of Referred Deep Brain Stimulation Failures: A Retrospective Analysis From Two Movement Disorder Centers

Abstract

An increasing number of patients are presenting to experienced deep brain stimulation (DBS) centers after unsatisfactory results of DBS surgery. We evaluated the reasons for DBS failure in a series of such patients and make recommendations to improve DBS outcomes.
