Eight Culture Strains (Detroit) of Human Epithelial-Like Cells.

Abstract
Eight stable strains (Detroit) of human epithe lial-like cells were isolated from a variety of tissues obtained from individuals with and without cancer. Five strains were derived from tissue cultures of sternal bone marrow, 2 strains from carcinomatus ascitic fluids, and 1 from lymphomatous pleural fluid. The histories of each of the cell strains, procedures used for their isolation, and maintenance, and preliminary observations on their morphology and growth behavior are presented.
