Abstract
The toxicology and pathology of alcoholic extracts of the roots of Asclepias tuberosa L., Asclepias syriaca L., Asclepias speciosa Torr., Asclepias incarnata L. var. alba Hort., Asclepias incarnata L. var. pulchra Hort., and Asclepias curassavica L. have been studied and the results are reported. The de-alcoholized, buffered, filtered fluidextract of the root of Asclepias tuberosa L. was subjected to a preliminary pharmacological examination, and the results are discussed.
