Applications of ceramics for tribological components

Abstract

Fine ceramics are expected to be applied as new materials to many tribological components because of their superior heat resistance and corrosion resistance and their high hardness. In this paper, wear and frictional test results from applications of these components in machines are given and the capabilities of fine ceramics are described.
