Abstract
This research will meticulously analyze the translation discourses of both middle eastern and western translation theorists. The methodology adopted in this study will be a literature review. Relevant sources will be examined, and the conclusions from the findings will be discussed. In this study, qualitative research will be carried out. The fundamental argument of this study is the fact that the Holy Qur’an is translatable and translating the Holy Qur’an is mandatory. The translation discourses that claim the Holy Qur’an is untranslatable will be elucidated and how these discourses can be refuted within the ambit of western translation theories will be explicated. The findings that are obtained in this study regarding the translatability of the Holy Qur’an can be divided into two groups. The first group is the findings obtained from the verses of the Qur’an and the second is the findings that are obtained within the ambit of translation discourse and theories. The ultimate finding which has been obtained is the fact that any meaning in a certain language can be rendered into another language
