Abstract
The call for interfaith dialogues is sine quanon with the diversity of world religions andmulti-ethnicity. The world has witnessedunaccountable important and tragic historicalevents. The September 11 attacks, Arab-Israelconflict, invasion of Iraq, aggression againstthe Afghans, clashes between Muslims andBuddhists in Southern Thailand and otherincidents have set a new pace on the sociopoliticaldevelopment in the world. The objectiveof this paper is to identify how the Muslim’scontributions toward a civilized society and playa significant role in fostering good relationshipamong the world community. The Christians,Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and otherworld religions have experienced by leapsand bounds the struggle for their religiousdestiny according to their own connotationsand interpretations. This article highlighted anddiscussed the very pertinent issues concerningthe call for interfaith dialogues among worldreligions. It also highlighted some of theimportant facts and its implications whichsurround the dialogue especially the socioreligiousfactor. As far as interrelationship withother faiths is concerned, Muslims are not leftin the lurch without any divine guidance. TheMuslims have certain unique approaches andmethodologies based on the Quranic teachingsand the prophet’s traditions in dealing withmulti-ethnicity and multi-religious background
