Abstract
Echovirus type 1 was isolated from 5 of 14 patients serving in Aden, who had pleurodynia and fever. 2 patients had significant rises in neutralizing antibody titre; low levels of antibodies were found in 3 others. 2 patients had unexplained haematuria.Keywords
