Abstract
In many image processing problems, it is required to extract small scale details from an image or a set of images. In this paper, we introduce a new framework for extracting small scale details from a single input image or a set of input images. We then show how to apply the framework to address several important problems in the field of image processing including tone mapping of high dynamic range images, de-noising of a non-flash image with a pair of non flash and flash images, as well as details enhancement via multi light images and a single input image. Experimental results show that the proposed framework outperforms existing methods. Keywords
