Improvement of High Voltage Cycling Performances of Li[Ni[sub 1/3]Co[sub 1/3]Mn[sub 1/3]]O[sub 2] at 55°C by a (NH[sub 4])[sub 3]AlF[sub 6] Coating

Abstract
The surface of particles was modified by a simple dry coating with as a coating agent. The -coated showed enhanced lithium-ion intercalation stability and thermal stability at and a high cutoff voltage of 4.5 V. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy showed that the coating on the particles played a key role in stabilizing the interface between the cathode and the electrolyte.
