Abstract
Nanocrystalline materials have gained considerable attention, especially during the last decade. In this context, this paper reviews the work done in this period, paying specific attention to nanocrystalline nickel, prepared by electrodeposition. D.C. as well as pulse plating have been dealt with in detail and the suitable parameters have been discussed. It also discusses the structure of the deposit and its improved properties, with special focus on corrosion resistance, micro-hardness, adhesion, etc. A few current industrial applications are also discussed. Keywords
