Abstract
The Schmidt rearrangement of methyl furoxanyl ketones and furoxancarboxylic acids has been carried out for the first time, exemplified by 3,4-diacetylfuroxan and 4-carboxy-3-(ethoxycarbonyl)furoxan, and this reaction has been shown to be a convenient method for the preparation of aminofuroxans. Keywords
