Abstract
296 preschoolchildren attending the pediatric clinic at Gizan Hospital were examined over a period of 3 months. Caries was recorded using the criteria described by WHO. One third of the children had untreated caries and none of the children had received any restorative dental care. A strategy for development of preventive dental services for this age group is discussed. Keywords
